Our dentists and hygienists screen you for signs of gum disease and give you advice on how to address it. As often gum disease give no symptoms until it is too late and then your tooth has to be removed.

If our dentists notice anything unusual we can refer you to a specialist doctor for further tests. As with many cancers, the sooner it is identified the better the chances of a full recovery.

What will happen at my first appointment?
On arrival at the practice you will be welcomed by one of our receptionists, who will ask you to complete a medical history form and smile check questionnaire.
If you have any problems filling in your medical questionnaire, we will give you any help you need. Please bring a list of any medications that you are currently taking. You will then see a dentist to discuss your personal dental needs and concerns. Once we fully understand your requirements, we complete a full dental examination of your mouth, and we may take some x-rays to help as part of this examination. After this we will plan any treatment with you and advise you on the costs and time scaled involved.
We will present to you all the options available – you choose. Your will then return to see one of our receptionists, who will book any appointment. If treatment is to be undertaken they will give you a written treatment plan and estimate, it is as easy as that.
